Old-fashioned Affleck wears the pants, says JLo

SINGER-ACTRESS Jennifer Lopez has told how fiancé Ben Affleck wears the trousers in their relationship.

“Ben wears the pants. He definitely wears the pants,” she told NBC in the couple’s first joint interview.

“I’m traditional in that way. I take on the woman roles in certain things.”

She enjoys making Puerto Rican dishes, but her Hollywood star fiancé refuses to help clean up when the meal is finished, she said.

Affleck admitted: “It’s not my favourite thing in the world to do. I don’t like to wash dishes.”

The couple, who met last year while filming the romantic comedy Gigli, said it was not love at first sight.

Jennifer, also known as JLo, said: “He wasn’t even remotely appealing really, to tell you the truth. He was so far from the sexiest man alive. I thought he was kinda homely.”

Affleck said he thought working with her would be a “pain in the ass” and vowed just to get through it.

The pair said they had set a date for their wedding, but would not make it public yet.

It will be Lopez’s third marriage and Affleck’s first.
