Hundreds of jobs ‘at risk from ban on super-trucks’
Mr Brennan yesterday moved to bar double-decker lorries on environmental grounds. Last week, it was revealed the trucks could not fit through Dublin’s 400m euro Port Tunnel.
The ban will affect dozens of exporters, supermarket giants such as Tesco, shipping companies and car transport firms which rely on the new trucks. More than 900 super-trucks enter Dublin every day.
