‘Vital role for UN’ in post-war reconstruction

GEORGE BUSH and Tony Blair pledged yesterday to hand over power in Iraq to the Iraqi people as “swiftly as possible.”

The US president and British prime minister, meeting at Hillsborough Castle, Co Down, agreed there would be a "vital role" for the UN in the post-war reconstruction of Iraq.
