US counter-terrorism officials say they expect additional al-Qaida bombings at lightly defended targets in Asia and Africa.

US expects more al-Qaida attacks in Asia and Africa

The warning came as Saudi authorities arrested four suspects with apparent ties to al-Qaida in this week's suicide attacks that killed 34 people, the Saudi interior minister said yesterday.

Three of the nine dead Saudis believed to have carried out the May 12 attacks on three compounds housing foreigners were wanted in connection with an earlier probe surrounding the discovery of a weapons cache linked to al-Qaida.
