People have moral duty to vote, say bishops
They also issued a list of questions they say candidates and parties should be asked. The list covers a range of controversial issues such as abortion, marriage as the basis of the family unit and the right of parents to choose the kind of education they want for their children.
Called “An opportunity to make our values real,” the organisation representing Catholic bishops in the 25 EU member States said this will be the first time in the western world that so many people have been called on to vote in the same election.
