Oxford ruling in animal rights case

OXFORD University yesterday won the latest round in its attempts to stave off harassment by animal rights activists.

In the High Court in London, Mr Justice Grigson said it was “both just and convenient” to continue an injunction, granted in September, until full trial.

The university has said that it does not want to curb peaceful protest and has offered to provide a demonstration area opposite its new biomedical research laboratory site in South Parks Road.
