Rapists hanged in Indonesia

TWO convicted serial rapists have been hanged publicly in Najafabad in the central Iranian province of Isfahan, the Iran newspaper reported yesterday.

The two men, identified as Mehid Yazdani, 20, and Navab Davoudi, 19, were found guilty of being members of a gang that called itself “Demon” and which had been implicated in the kidnap and rape of four women.

Other members of the gang received prison terms and lashes, the paper said.
