Soham site turfed

THE site of the house where Ian Huntley murdered schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman was yesterday being turfed.

The house, which is in the grounds of Soham Village College, in Soham, Cambridgeshire, was knocked down on Saturday.

A spokesman for education authority Cambridgeshire County Council, which owns the site, said turf was being laid. Officials say the site will eventually be landscaped to hide all trace of Huntley’s presence.
