IRELAND’S tourist industry is set to break all records next year on the back of a strong return to growth in 2003.

The Irish Tourist Industry Confederation yesterday forecast increased visitor numbers and tourism revenues over the coming 12 months.

However, it also warned high comparative levels of price inflation plus the continuing strength of the euro against the dollar and sterling still presented serious problems for the industry's competitiveness.
