Tamil rebel shooting

A KEY member of a Tamil political party opposed to the Tamil Tiger rebels was shot dead yesterday on a busy street in Sri Lanka's capital.

A gunman on a motorbike shot Bala Nadarajah, a member of Eelam People’s Democratic Party, outside his home. Tamil Tiger rebels have been blamed for the killing.
