Crocodile hunts backed by experts

INTERNATIONAL experts have backed a controversial Australian proposal to allow the safari hunting of saltwater crocodiles.

The Crocodile Specialist Group endorsed the Northern Territory government’s push for crocodile trophy hunts.

Professional hunters with permits are allowed to kill a total of 600 wild crocodiles for their skins each year in the Northern Territory.
