Some of those returning from the EU Finance Ministers' meeting in Punchestown had an interesting reminder of just how difficult this can be.

At Dublin airport some people were asked to remove their shoes and put them through the X-ray machine. Asked about this added security measure one of the security staff replied, "It's an EU law."
