OASIS wildman Liam Gallagher faces prosecution for assaulting a German policeman after a disco punch-up that left the star minus two front teeth.

The band were forced to abandon two German dates after Gallagher, several other members of Oasis and their entourage were detained in Munich police cells. Police said that they arrested three members of the group, including Gallagher and the drummer, Alan White, along with two of their bodyguards. They stated that they were investigating them on suspicion of assault, resisting arrest and damage to property. The other Gallagher brother, Noel, was not involved.

All were released on Sunday afternoon after paying an unspecified sum in bail. Munich prosecutor Anton Winkler said his office would decide before the end of the year on whether to press charges.

Police say the singer kicked an officer in the chest before he was subdued and they are considering a charge of dangerous assault.

Dentists have implanted two artificial teeth in Gallagher’s jaw to replace the front teeth he lost during the punch-up at the disco in the Bayerischer Hof hotel.

Witnesses told police the clash began in the disco at 2am on Sunday. They said band members, who were staying at the hotel, were drunk and started pushing each other.
