Saudi beheaded

A SAUDI convicted of murdering another man after a fight over money was beheaded yesterday in the western city of Taif.

Zayb bin Mohammed bin Bashir al-Qahtani killed Rageh bin Mansour bin Nasser al-Qahtani as they argued, the official said in a statement carried by the Saudi official news agency.

The execution brings to five the number of people beheaded in the kingdom this year. Last year, at least 52 people, mostly drug smugglers, were beheaded.
