Blue star ‘attacked snappers after leaving nightclub’

TEEN idol Lee Ryan attacked two photographers as they tried to snap him leaving a London nightclub with a girl, a court heard yesterday.

The star of the hit boyband Blue punched and kicked out at one and hit a camera into the face of another during the incident outside 10 Rooms near Piccadilly Circus.

Ryan, 20, of Vauxhall, south London, turned “aggressive” and deliberately smashed the two cameras, Horseferry Road Magistrates’ Court was told.

But his defence claimed the photographers had acted like a “pack of wolves” hungry to photograph him with 23-year-old Tanya Mills, a deaf girl he had met in the club.

Ryan denies two assault charges and two counts of criminal damage.

He left the club with Ms Mills and friends in the early hours of December 9 last year to be met by photographers, prosecutor Mubeena Cockar-Khan said.

Ms Mills, who works in day care for deaf people, said she was blinded by the flash photography as they walked out and was then surrounded by the photographers.

She said: “I was really frightened. “They were getting closer and closer right around us and I was being pressured into walking along the side of the wall
