Mirror buys rights to Burrell story

FORMER royal butler Paul Burrell will tell his story in a series of articles in the Daily Mirror this week.

The newspaper has paid "a substantial six-figure sum" for the rights to Mr Burrell's thoughts and recollections.

Mr Burrell, former butler of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, was acquitted of stealing items belonging to his former employer.The prosecution folded its case after it emerged Mr Burrell had told the Queen of his intention to retain some papers for safekeeping.
