Give geese a chance, says Macca

MUSIC legend Paul McCartney has written to California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger appealing to him to outlaw the force-feeding of geese to make the delicacy foie gras.

Politicians in California have passed a bill to stop the practice and it is awaiting the signature of Schwarzenegger.

McCartney wrote: “Force feeding for foie gras has been banned in numerous other countries because of the extreme cruelty entailed.
