Jackson breaks with legal team a week before trial

MICHAEL Jackson has broken with his legal team less than a week before he appears in court on child molestation charges.

Lawyers Mark Geragos and Benjamin Brafman “decided to step down” from representing the pop star, Mr Brafman said, adding the decision was “based on recent developments and discussions with various persons in the Jackson camp.”

He declined to reveal exactly what prompted the move.
