Human remains found in English woodlands

BRITISH Police yesterday scoured woodland for clues after human remains were found

At 1.40pm, Hampshire police were alerted, when the remains were discovered by passers-by at Yateley Heath Forest, near Fleet.

Police were carrying out a full search of the area, while attempts were also being made to identify the remains.

Surrey Police have been contacted by their Hampshire colleagues, but were last night playing down the find. A police spokeswoman stressed that it was too early to say if it might be the body of missing teenager Amanda ‘Milly’ Dowler.
