BRITISH agents bugged the office of former president Mary Robinson when she was the UN chief human rights official, it was claimed yesterday.

Former MI6 agent Richard Tomlinson said: ā€œIn 1999 the combative Irish woman was strongly criticising Nato members for their attacks on Serbiaā€.

Robinson said she was not surprised by the disclosure.
