Italian police crack prostitution ring

POLICE in northern Italy yesterday arrested 14 people suspected of exploiting children from a local Gypsy camp in a child prostitution ring.

Among those were two people employed by the city council who allowed the practice to continue in return for bribes, said Giuseppe Serlenga, a police official in the northern city of Verona.
