Hong Kong’s richest woman forged will of late husband

THE future of Hong Kong property giant Chinachem Group appeared uncertain yesterday, after a judge ruled that its chairwoman, Nina Wang, had forged a will leaving her the fortune of her late husband, former Chinachem head Teddy Wang.

Police planned to seek legal advice on whether to take action based on the ruling in Hong Kong's High Court yesterday against Nina Wang, police spokeswoman Carrie So said.

Nina Wang Hong Kong's richest woman announced she would appeal against the court's decision against her. The court awarded all of Teddy Wang's estate to his 91-year-old father, Wang Din-shin, who was named as the sole beneficiary in a 1968 will.

During a prolonged trial, Nina Wang unsuccessfully tried to defend a 1990 will that left everything to her.It was dated a month before her husband was kidnapped and never found.
