Spielberg war film pulled

AMERICA’s crackdown on taste and decency on TV took a step further yesterday - with stations axing war film Saving Private Ryan for being too rude.

The Steven Spielberg D-Day epic was being shown on ABC to mark Veterans’ Day in the United States.

But nearly four in 10 station affiliates decided to pull it from their schedules because of its use of the f-word.
