Terror arrests for Turkish Marxists

SECURITY forces across Europe arrested over 40 people in crackdowns yesterday against a Marxist Turkish group the EU and the US consider a terrorist organisation.

Italy, Turkey, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands arrested 41 militants from a Turkish Marxist group, Turkey's Interior Ministry said.

Police in Istanbul arrested 25 suspects of the Marxist Revolutionary People's Liberation Army/Front, or DHKP-C, while security forces in the other countries detained 16 others, an Interior Ministry official said.
