Blix warns not to jump to conclusions on Iraq arms

CHIEF UN inspector Hans Blix has told the Security Council that Saddam Hussein’s regime might have hidden weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, or destroyed them ahead of the US invasion.

But he warned against jumping to any conclusions just because there is a long list of outstanding questions about the dictator's weapons programmes.

Now Saddam has been removed from power, Blix said, "it should be possible to establish the truth we all want to know."
