Stock exchange revamps website

THE Irish Stock Exchange launches a new Company Announcement Service to its website www.ise.ie today.

The service provides free access to the latest company announcements.

These include details of new share issues; results announcements; acquisition and merger activity; and other significant developments.

Already more than 1.3 million people visit the site each month.

The Irish Stock Exchange's Brian Healy said: "We are delighted to be able to provide this new service as part of our web facility.

"Over 265 million is traded daily on the Irish Stock Exchange's equities market and there are many investors out there who want to keep their finger on the pulse regarding share performance and potential deals.

"This service will definitely satisfy the appetite not only in Ireland, but internationally, for information on trading operations in the exchange."

The ISE website contains a comprehensive store of information about the exchange, its products, markets and its members as well as electronic versions of its publications.

It is visited by a very diverse range of users with domain addresses from all over the globe.

At present, the site is attracting over 1.3 million hits per month.
