Bid to defeat society motion

A SHAREHOLDER pressure group, pushing for reform at Irish Nationwide, is redoubling its efforts to attain significant representation ahead of next week’s annual general meeting.

The campaign to demutualise Irish Nationwide has openly criticised the leadership of managing director Michael Fingleton and hopes to get a large number of proxy votes from shareholders to form a voting block at the AGM, which promises to be a lively event.
