Israel ‘ready for Iraqi attack’

PRIME MINISTER Ariel Sharon yesterday assured Israelis that the country is prepared for an Iraqi attack and that the United States has taken “extensive steps” to help protect the Jewish State.

Israel is expected to decide in coming days whether to inoculate the entire population of 6.6 million against smallpox.

In recent months, 15,000 health and rescue workers have been injected with the vaccine.
