Property baron cleared of manslaughter and freed

NOTORIOUS property baron Nicholas van Hoogstraten left the Old Bailey yesterday a free and innocent man declaring he had been vindicated.

He threatened to sue "just about everybody" involved in his prosecution, adding that police were investigating complaints he had made.

He said: "I hope it will be diligently pursued. If it is not, I have further recourse."
