Gibson reveals perils of fame

HOLLYWOOD actor Mel Gibson has revealed how he struggled to deal with the fame which comes with being a megastar.

The Lethal Weapon star said he turned to alcohol to cope with the pressure of being in the spotlight and admitted: “Things got out of hand.”

In an interview to be published by Parade magazine in the US on Sunday, Gibson revealed that he almost became a journalist rather than an actor.
