Drummer Watts treated for cancer

ROLLING STONES drummer Charlie Watts is being treated for throat cancer.

Watts, 63, was midway through a course of radiotherapy at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea, south west London, near his home, his spokesman said.

Watts, who has not smoked since the 1960s when the rock band shot to fame, was said to be in “good form” and has been walking to hospital to be treated.
