STRANDED air passengers will be paid up to €600 in compensation for being bumped off flights under new rules introduced yesterday.

MEPs voted to double the compensation, but ruled out introducing American-style “name and shame” performance scoreboards charting airlines’ records on delays, overbooking and lost luggage.
