Mafia arrests in New York
Prosecutors allege Dominick ‘Quiet Don’ Cirillo, 75, rose to the position of acting boss following the 1997 conviction of boss Vincent ‘The Chin’ Gigante for murder and racketeering conspiracy, and the arrests of two previous acting bosses.
Cirillo and alleged Genovese captains Lawrence ‘Little Larry’ Dentico, John ‘Johnny Sausage’ Barbato and Anthony ‘Tico’ Antico were awaiting arraignment in federal court in Brooklyn.
The arrests were the result of a lengthy investigation of the Genoveses, the city’s largest Mafia family, resulting in dozens of arrests.
