Damages deal for former King

FORMER King Michael of Romania will receive £20 million (€28.8m) for properties that he demanded back from the state but has agreed to forgo in exchange for damages.

The government agreed to make the payment to end property claims by the former monarch forced to abdicate in 1947 when the communists came to power.
