Markets may have seen last of lows

IN the last three weeks, the Dow Jones has rallied by 1,000 points and by late afternoon Irish time yesterday, it was up at 8,338.

That compares with 7,400 three weeks ago. To the normal observer that spells rally.

That view is compounded by the quarter to date showing the Dow Euro Stoxx 50 up over 14%; the FTSE 100 up 11% and the S&P up 8.5%. In Dublin, the ISEQ showed less spectacular growth, increasing 5.3%, according to Merrion Stockbrokers.
