Demonstrators storm the House of Commons

FIVE protesters stormed the House of Commons last night, ahead of a decision by MPs to ban fox hunting and hare coursing.

There were also violent clashes between police and protesters in Parliament Square as thousands of hunting supporters voiced their opposition to the Bill.

On a free vote, MPs came out in favour of the ban in England and Wales - by 356 votes to 166, a majority of 190.
