McCreevy announces euro-mortgage plan

PLANS to create a euro-mortgage have been announced by Internal Market Commissioner Charlie McCreevy in Brussels.

Very few people across the EU have home loans in another country despite cross-Border banking.

Studies by the European Commission say pan-European mortgages could mean better value for consumers.
