Ronan's hits keep pub performers on song

IRISH teen idol Ronan Keating is the most imitated performer in Britain, a new survey has revealed.

The former Boyzone star's tunes are among the most covered tracks by live acts in the UK, with Life Is A Rollercoaster among the most popular.

Three songs which Keating has taken to number one feature in the top 20 of most performed songs, with Rollercoaster at number four, When You Say Nothing At All at 10 and When The Going Gets Tough a hit for his band Boyzone at 11.

Dance The Night Away by The Mavericks continued to top the chart since the Performing Rights Society began compiling the list three years ago.

Robbie Williams managed to get two songs in the list with Angels at No 2 for the third time and Rock DJ at 18.

Oldies proved to be just as popular as more contemporary songs with The Beatles album track I Saw Her Standing There nearly four decades old at number eight, more popular than it was the previous year.
