Eta defends car bomb attack that killed girl, six, and man

THE Basque separatist group Eta has defended a car bombing that killed two people, including a six-year-old girl.

The girl and a 50-year-old man were killed on August 4 by the explosion in the Costa Blanca resort of Santa Pola.

The target of the blast a paramilitary Civil Guard headquarters was a legitimate military target, Eta said in a statement sent to a Basque radio station on Tuesday night.
