Dutroux survivors visit former dungeon
As part of the trial, Dutroux, as well as judges, lawyers, court officials and the families of the victims were driven to the house in Marcinelle, a suburb of the grimy southern city of Charleroi, for the day’s viewing.
“It is not the best day for the defence,” conceded Rony Baudewijn, one of Dutroux’s team of lawyers after the participants made the 112 mile trip from Arlon in eastern Belgium, where the trial is based.
