Leaders sign off on Earth Summit deal

WORLD leaders last night signed off on an Earth Summit deal which pressure groups have attacked as a travesty for the planet.

Campaigners claim the final deal will actually mark a step backwards from the position before the summit started.

An international coalition of pressure groups said last night the contents of the deal were so diluted that they were meaningless.
