American troops kill Iraqi youth, 14 at wedding

AMERICAN soldiers killed a 14-year-old boy when they believed they were coming under attack in an Iraqi town – but the gunfire was a wedding celebration, locals said yesterday.

Neighbours in the violent town of Fallujah said six other people were injured in the incident that started after wedding guests fired guns into the air to celebrate.

A passing US military patrol opened fire believing it was under attack.
