Teen’s dismembered body found dumped on London estate
Detectives believe Rochelle Holness had been abducted and murdered.
The discovery was made in Catford, south London, on Wednesday. A man and a woman, both aged 47, have been arrested. They are not related to her.
Severed body parts were found inside binliners and dumped on open ground in an estate at Milford Towers.
The two who have been arrested are not believed to have been known to Rochelle and were arrested at a nearby flat.
Rochelle, from South London, had gone to use a telephone box near the estate about 7pm Sunday and was later reported missing.
She was found after an ambulance was called to treat an injured man at a flat on the estate on Wednesday morning.
Ambulance personnel called police who arrested the two at the flat.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment on cuts before being discharged. He and the woman were then taken to separate south London police stations for interview.
Officers later found the remains. A postmortem was carried out yesterday. No weapon has been found.
Det Supt Paul McAleenan said: “At this early stage, it is not clear when Rochelle was killed.
“I want to hear from anyone who was in the area at any time from the evening of Sunday September 25 to the early hours of Wednesday September 28.
“We want to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious, either inside the estate or in the roads that lead to it.”
