Albright attacks Bush

FORMER US secretary of State Madeleine Albright has criticised President George W Bush’s doctrine of pre-emptive war, saying the strained US-European relationship is unlikely to improve as long as he in the White House.

Speaking to a sold-out audience of about 500 people in Stockholm, Sweden, Ms Albright said even Cold War Soviet-era leaders had not divided the allies as Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden had.
