Jacko red-faced after award gaff

MICHAEL JACKSON was left embarrassed after accepting a non-existent award for ‘Artist of the Millennium’.

Confusion arose when Britney Spears, introducing the singer, said that for her Jackson was the artist of the millennium.

But Jackson thought he was being honoured as the greatest singer of the last 1,000 years. He thanked God, his parents and the magician David Blaine. MTV said it was all “a bit of a misunderstanding”.
