Police exhume body of girl who died six years ago

DETECTIVES investigating the death of an 11-year-old schoolgirl six years ago exhumed her body for further tests yesterday.

Phyllis Porter was found dead by her mother lying on her bed at the family home in Wigan, Greater Manchester, in November 1996.

Her death was treated as suspicious but police failed to shed any light on how she died.
