Parents devastated after vandals desecrate heart scandal babies’ graves

About 150 graves were damaged in the baby section of South Bristol Crematorium and Cemetery when vandals struck, smashing ornaments and graveside mementoes.

Some of the graves were of babies who died during the series of botched operations at the Bristol Royal Infirmary in the late 1980s and early 1990s, a spokeswoman for Bristol City Council said. Yesterday, parents were repairing the graves which were damaged overnight on Saturday.
