A SNIPER who has killed three people in West Virginia, USA, may have struck again after a 16-year-old girl says she was shot at a shop in Dunbar, about six miles from Charleston.

The frightened girl ran to a nearby car for help. A local county sheriff's deputy later spotted a nearby pick-up truck speeding down a highway. A dispatcher says the deputy pursued the truck but later lost sight of it.

Officials have said they are looking for a dark pick-up truck seen at two of the three shootings last week. Rifles and pickups go together in West Virginia, so finding a sniper suspect driving a flatbed Ford is a difficult task.
