Love is not pregnant with my baby, says Coogan

SINGER Courtney Love’s claims to be carrying Steve Coogan’s baby are “nonsense”, his spokesperson said yesterday.

The showbiz world has been left stunned by reports that the wild woman of rock is pregnant by the Alan Partridge star after a two-week fling.

But Coogan’s spokesperson scoffed at the claims yesterday.

Drug addict Love, 41, the widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, is said to have enjoyed an affair with Coogan while they were both staying at the Sunset Marquis hotel in West Hollywood.

She told the News of the World: “Yes, I am pregnant with Steve’s baby, but I’d rather not talk about our friendship.”

According to reports, Love discovered she was pregnant four days ago after taking a home pregnancy test. She is said to have told a friend: “Tell me honestly, what does it make me look like that I slept with Alan Partridge?”

Love, who has an 11-year-old daughter by Cobain, is going through troubled times.

She is in rehab after admitting using drugs while on probation for three separate drug and assault cases.

Coogan, 39, has a colourful private life far removed from that of his comic creation Alan Partridge. Last year he admitted cheating on his wife Caroline Hickman with two lapdancers during a cocaine-fuelled hotel romp.
