The 38-year-old, who gatecrashed Prince William’s 21st birthday party at Windsor, was arrested in Wapping, London, at 3pm on Friday.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “He has been released on police bail pending further inquiries to return on a date in May.”
The spokesman said Barschak was released at 6pm on Friday.
On Friday, police said a 38-year-old man was arrested in Wapping on suspicion of making a bomb hoax.
He was arrested by uniformed officers who had been called to the address, described as a business premises.
A spokesman added: “A package was recovered from the business premises in Wapping. The man was arrested in Wapping Lane.”
Bookies had given Barschak 50-1 odds of causing a major security breach at the Prince of Wales’s wedding to Camilla Parker-Bowles’ yesterday.
